Our commitments
LA PETITE ÉTOILE is first and foremost this desire to make the light shine for whoever carries it. But beyond "you," there is also this "us" as a whole —us, together, under the same sky where each choice has a global impact.
That's why every piece in our constellation tells a story between the threads: the story of the craftsmanship that shapes them, the hands that make them, and the paths they take before reaching you. We firmly believe that fashion must combine aesthetics and ethics, and it is with this in mind that we strive to ensure the traceability and sustainability of our collections.
Where and how are our products made?
Since the birth of our star, all our pieces have been imagined and designed by our style office in Paris. Year after year, we have worked to ensure that the proportion of ethically sourced natural materials we use in our collections continues to increase, to the point where today they represent components of our wardrobe: GOTS-certified organic cotton, linen, viscose, mohair, wool, cashmere, etc.
The manufacturing of our pieces is then entrusted to workshops located in France, Italy, India and China. All these partners are meticulously and rigorously selected for their expertise and their specific working techniques (leather, embroidery, weaving, linen, cotton), each playing a specific and essential role in the creation of our collections:

France
With particular attention paid to quality materials and craftsmanship, we have partnered with a family workshop in the south of France to produce, since summer 2024, clogs and sandals entirely in leather and meticulously assembled by hand.

Italy
Italy's reputation and expertise in leather are well established, so it is clear that all the bags and belts in our leather goods line originate from the Peninsula. There, our local experts work the leather in a variety of ways (smooth, textured, rubbed, bi-material, Box leather, camoscio leather, suede, sourced from European farms, mainly in France, Germany and the Netherlands) with precision and rigor, which allows us to offer you pieces of obvious and durable quality: they will gain character over time and age alongside you... without wrinkles! A large part of our knitwear (made from noble and high-quality materials, such as mohair, cashmere, wool, alpaca, etc.) is also produced in Italy.

India
Unmissable, among other things, for its cotton, embroidery, and dyes, it is in India that our blouses and other embroidered pieces come to life. In this cradle of textile craftsmanship where ancestral know-how is passed down from generation to generation, the majority of our embroidery is done by hand to guarantee a unique and authentic finish.

China
The rest of our production is entrusted to our family factories in China, where our long-standing collaborators have been with us since the genesis of LA PETITE ÉTOILE. This closeness to the heart allows us to ensure rigorous control over the quality and manufacturing conditions of our collections. Visits are indeed regularly made on site with a dual objective: not only to ensure compliance with optimal working conditions (both from a human and material point of view), but also to continue to maintain lasting relationships with our local partners, bonds of trust having been forged over time, at the same pace as the embroidery on our pieces...
Transport & environmental impact
As a brand in the textile sector, we are fully aware of the environmental impact of our production: we know that every transport, every material, every choice has an impact. This is why we are working to reduce our carbon footprint. How? By optimizing each of our current modes of transport:
Italy : Trucking is a more flexible and less polluting solution that we use to cover short distances in Europe.
India : Imposed by certain production constraints, the plane is a mode of transport whose consequences we measure, but which we seek to compensate by adjusting our volumes and favoring reduced production circuits.
China : Although there is room for improvement, shipping is a slower means of freight transport, but it is also more environmentally friendly, as it produces fewer CO2 emissions.
A constantly evolving commitment
We know that the path to more responsible fashion is a long-term process. That's why we're committed to continually improving our processes, seeking ever more sustainable alternatives, promoting short supply chains whenever possible, and maintaining an ongoing but demanding dialogue with our partners.
To stay true to our commitment, transparency and sincerity will serve as a compass for our star. This is an approach we owe to you—to you who trust us every day by carrying us in your hearts and on your skin—but also to ourselves, as economic players in a globalized world: because a beautiful piece is not limited to its appearance, but also tells a story, and carries the values and commitments of those who created it.
Together, let's take action so that tomorrow's sky continues to shine with its stars!
